Today has been considerably more relaxing than yesterday.
I watched SNL with a cat perched on my lap while drinking coffee. Dave Chappelle was great, and you can never go wrong with the Foo Fighters as musical guests. I’ve seen them live three times: twice on arena tours, and once when they were the performers on The Late Show with David Letterman. We were visiting family on the east coast and I’d snagged tickets to a live taping in New York City. Hard to believe that was 23 years ago, but hey, Dave Grohl can still rock.

I then inadvertently started a huge project rearranging the kitchen pantry and cabinets. Tara will probably freak out if she’s reading this from afar. I only meant to move a few items around, but one thing led to another and the Broncos game I was watching turned into a suckfest, so there you have it.
I plan to catch up on blogs and then watch a couple of movies this evening. I’m going to make a spicy pork stir fry for dinner, have some wine, and chat with my parents.
It’s finally cooled off after a record-breaking warm week, by the way. Back down into the 40s today.
Still not sure if I’m writing every day this month…
I suddenly feel old knowing that you saw Lettermen 23 years ago. Enjoy your dinner and evening. For someone who claims to be on the fence about writing daily, you sure are writing daily. 😉

Foo Fighters, David Letterman… nice.
23 years! Crap, we’re old. I remember when the band formed. Seemed a bit too soon to me. Like Kurt wasn’t even cold yet.

If you really want to feel old, they were performing their brand new song, a catchy little ditty called “Everlong.”

Dave Chappelle is one of the funniest guys ever. I’ll have to try to find it online.

His opening monologue struck a balance between angry and funny. He’s one of the few who could pull that off successfully.
