I have always wanted to be a writer.
When I was 13 years old, I entered a short story contest and won first place for my age group. “The Egg” was a bleak look at a dystopian future in which crime is rampant and the earth’s resources are quickly being depleted. Makes me wonder if I had a crystal ball sometimes.
When I turned 30, I tried my hand at novels. After several manuscripts of varying quality, I published “No Time for Kings” in 2011. A follow-up book, “Dream Sailors,” was completed in 2017 and is currently in the editing stages.
I don’t just write for fun. I am a professional copy writer and editor with experience creating a wide variety of content for clients in a diverse range of industries including sales, manufacturing, health care, and insurance. Clients include Groupon, Kärcher North America, 3Point Brand Management, Portland Book Review, and more.
This June, I am leaving behind my home in the Pacific Northwest for a fresh start in Rapid City, South Dakota. I attended high school there and have a fondness for the area’s natural beauty and slower pace of life. I’ve always felt like a Midwestern guy at heart.
